More ideas, insight, and inspiration.

Will you embrace AI?
No not artificial intelligence, we’re taking about your attention in-person.
When you’re in the company of others, do you find yourself:
Scrolling on your phone
Thinking but not listening
Doing multiple things rather than being present
Looking elsewhere, showing a lack of care
Gloria Mark, a professor of informatics at the Universality of California has been tracking attention spans.
In a study conducted in 2004, Mark found that knowledge workers switched between tasks an average of every 2.5 minutes.
In 2012 she found the interval had decreased to 75 seconds, and now it is a mere 47 seconds.
This coming week, challenge yourself to be present with others. Try to avoid distraction.
For an insightful article on presenting to groups with low attention span in mind, read Gloria Marks article from 2023 here.

Will you improve your decision making?
We have more insight than ever but are we making better decisions?
We will let you answer the question for yourself.
Three tips to improve your decision making:
Schedule recurring thinking time every week. Try to be in an environment which energises you and give yourself at least an hour to start, ideally building to three in the future.
Make notes on a note pad. Try to write or draw pictures of your ideas. Keep it basic.
No doesn’t need an explanation. It’s ok to say no, seriously. STOP worrying about explaining your no. This gives more power and energy to your yes!

Will you inspire change in others?
In any given moment we have two options, to step forwards into growth or step back into safety.
The course of history shows us that change either happens through desperation or inspiration.
Maslow is the creator of the hierarchy of needs.
A framework which proposes that humans are motivated by a hierarchy of five needs: physiological, safety, love/belonging, esteem, and self-actualisation, with basic needs needing to be met before higher-level ones.
How are you inspiring your family, friends and team to become the best they can be? One to takeaway.

P.S. Keep winning!
