Edition #24

More ideas, insight, and inspiration.

Will you lead even when you’re not in charge?

You don’t need a title to make a difference.
You just need the courage to make a difference.

Leadership isn’t about authority, it’s about initiative.
It’s how you show up when no one’s assigning roles.
It’s choosing to influence, not waiting to be appointed.

The best teams are filled with everyday leaders:
People who lift others without needing the credit.
People who do the right thing, not the easy thing.

Ask yourself:

  • Where am I waiting for permission when I could take initiative?

  • What’s one moment today where I could lead through service or example?

  • Who around me needs encouragement to lead from where they are?

Challenge: Identify one area where you’re tempted to sit back. Instead, take one proactive step this week to lead—quietly, humbly, and intentionally.

Will you follow well when you’re not in front?

Strong leaders know how to follow first.
They don’t let ego stop them from learning, supporting, or contributing.

You don’t always have to be the loudest voice.
Sometimes, the most influential person is the one who listens, adapts, and brings calm.

In a team, leadership is dynamic.
Sometimes you step up. Other times, you lift up.
It’s not about being the centre, it’s about advancing the mission.

Ask yourself:

  • When was the last time I supported someone else’s lead with full effort?

  • Do I make space for others to shine or am I trying to stay central?

  • How could I practice humility and trust this week?

Challenge: Think of someone else in a leadership moment. This week, ask them how you can support them and follow through without needing recognition.

Will you develop leadership in others, not just demonstrate your own?

Your role isn’t just to lead.
It’s to multiply leadership in others, especially those who don't yet see it in themselves.

Whether you're leading a team, a family, or a classroom, your influence grows when you give it away.
Not by stepping back, but by inviting others to step forward.

Real leaders don’t hoard the spotlight.
They pass the mic.
They model, mentor, and move aside when it’s time.

Ask yourself:

  • Who around me has untapped leadership potential?

  • Am I making space for others to grow or just protecting my role?

  • What would change if I saw my success in their development?

Challenge: Choose one person you see potential in. This week, call it out. Invite them to lead something small and coach them through it.
