Edition #8

More ideas, insight, and inspiration.

Will you be an overcomer this year?

In the first round of the 2025 Australian Open, Jacob Fearnley beat home favourite Nick Kyrgios.

In 2024, Fearnley didn’t even have a world ranking.

As you move on from 2024, try not to be fixed on your current circumstance or position.

Write down the obstacles you see coming up in the next 1-3 months.

Now write down what steps you should take in the coming two weeks, as you prepare to overcome those obstacles. Build from here.

Keep the long term aim in mind.

Preparation leads to expectation.

Will you FOCUS?

Last year, Luke Littler narrowly missed out on first place at the 2024 World Darts Championship.

A year later and “Luke the Nuke” is the 2025 PDC World Dart’s Champion.

Darts is all about focusing on the right target at the right time.

You might not be going for a world title this year, but where is your focus? What are you targeting?

Do you know?

Try being creative, we challenge you to create a simple mood board.

The mood board should represent the things that you’re focusing on in 2025.

Use images that bring your focus to life.

Once you’ve done this, how does your time and energy each week reflect what’s on your mood board?

Will you show up for those around you?

Write down the names of the people in your team at work.

Write down the names of the people you do life with, your family and friends.

Okay, now write down the words: helped, heard and hugged.

Now challenge yourself, how could you make improvements?

How consistently do you listen to those on your lists?

How often do you help them or provide the care they need?

Try to use the three H’s to improve the way you show up for those around you.
